Stephan and Axel have already made good points and arguments for
keeping the notification server (which I agree with), but I'll add
further that I think we need to remove any major system functions from
the Deskbar. Which I guess for me that mainly means the
Twitcher/Switcher/Ctrl-Tab window. If Deskbar is not running (which
can happen) then boom, there is no longer a Ctrl-Tab system. I really
want to move that out of Deskbar and will do so when I get a chance.
This is really another discussion, but it could be moved to app_server
or also into it's own server (to be theoretically swappable/changeable
like anything else.)

So I really would not want to move another system into Deskbar, which
should just serve as an application launcher and running application
manager (and again could be replaced with something else which does
those functions without harming the system, which currently it would
harm the system if replaced due to loss of Ctrl-Tab functionality.)
