I hope we can avoid this un/hiding of files by moving it all out of the way into ~/config/settings/. I hate how Ubuntu's home folder is hopelessly flooded with dot files if one has to unhide stuff to change something (after a frustrating search most of the time...). Speaking of that, shouldn't Haiku give a good example by moving . bash_history and .profile etc. to e.g. ~/config/settings/Terminal?
