Foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds. We don't need to
stay consistent with every little detail. These 2 apps emulate
real-world devices and therefore are by nature a little different. If
you are against the change for other reasons, fine, but, consistency is
not a good reason here. I wonder about this things that keep you up at
night.

John, I hope you are aware that your reply style is absolutely unacceptable.
Consistency is actually one of the key attributes of Haiku, if you didn't notice already.

Can you please explain why those two applications should look different from other applications that are part of Haiku? Why should the fact that they resemble real world devices be a good reason?

A calculator works like it does for a reason, and that reason is not the existence of a real world device but how you use it. What's the point in trying to make it look more like a real calculator? Does it help you using it? And finally, does it actually look any more like a real world device because of your changes? Again, so why make them look different?

Of course, 100% consistency can never be reached as it's not always possible or the best way. However, you should always have a very good reason for leaving that path.

Bye,
   Axel.
