The languages are in a sorted list. If the first language is not available
for a specific string, the second one is used, and so on.
There are no "translations" for english because it's the language the app
is written in. Maybe that's the problem. Does the same thing happen if you
pick other languages? (for example french + german or spanish + german?)
What if you put german first, and english in second place in the list?
