Starcrasher, that chip implements 'audio device class specification 1.0'
 which is supported by usb_audio as is.

 It isn't, though. The reason the driver is disabled at present is because
 it's presently rather broken even with 1.0 devices. For me it has glitchy
 audio (random breaks every few hundred ms, and on two of my devices, mono
 output only.) So the driver needs work for 1.0 devices to be usable
 anyway.
