The only question I have is a non-porous surface a good idea? There tends
to be a lot of standing water and no place for it to run off. If properly
graded, asphalt could work, but what about just gravel? It's cheaper than
concrete and we don't have to worry about grading as much.

Just a thought.

Seriously though, given the weed problem, I'd chip in $100 towards a
cement truck to just cover it all up.
Of course I know nothing about leveling concrete (with a angle for
drainage away from the building)...
