Hi Gavin

I would advise the Royaltech 2100 as its slightly more accurate in some
situations than the two you mention. This is primarily because of newer
firmware and the 2010 is now debunked.

Who did you talk to in the office?

The globalsat and royaltech 2010 is good but for me the Royaltech just edges
it because of its slightly more tenacious grip on the satalite and a switch
to turn on and off. They also use standard nokia phone batteries.

Please call me should you wish to discuss this with me in more detail even
out of office hours. You willl find my work mobile number at the end of

Subject: [gps-talkusers] lobalsat verses Royaltek receivers

Hi all
I've been using the Earthmate serial gps receiver for a couple of years or
so but now want to go to Bluetooth, I've enquire with Humanware here in UK
and they're no longer distributing the Holux receiver which I see is still
being promoted on the Sendero website.

They have suggested the following two models:
  - Globalsat BT 338
- Royaltek RBT 2110

Have any users out there had experience of either of these receivers? I'd
appreciate some comments before committing myself to one or the other, I've
looked at the spec's for both and rather like the sound of the Royaltek
what's your thoughts?

I use the gps with M'power daily in town and rural settings on foot, bus,
train and by car.

Kind regards Gavin and trusty Mr Nathan
