Thanks, Chris. I think I can handle one wire if I need to, although this is
the most recent Voice Sense. It may well be that I can position it on its
own so that it will be audible since it has a fairly good speaker within.

I don't know if the voiceSense will pair blue-tooth to a speaker while still
being paired to the gps receiver.
The Voice Sense BT will not, the Voice Sense QX will.
