I created a test user and logged in as that user. I started gpodder and it worked. I wonder why it wont start as my other user? The only difference between root user, test user and the user that gpodder will not start as is, one has channels with artwork support. And that one is the one that does not work. I wonder if this has something to do with it? -----Original Message----- From: "Thomas Perl" <thp at perli.net> To: "Development for gPodder" <gpodder-devel at lists.berlios.de> Sent: 12/14/2007 2:27 AM Subject: Re: [gpodder-devel] 0.10.3 crash Hello, Chris! Is there something like SELinux running that could prevent gPodder from running correctly? Most of the problems related to root being able to run the program and the user not are either because of permission problems or because of some per-user misconfiguration. Maybe you want to try to create another "normal" user on your system and see if it works with this one (to see if it's some config problem) or simply try to set SELinux to the "watch" mode (and not the blocking one) or simply disable it for the testing period.
