Yes, I think so. But I think that the disconnecting-i/o approach would be
secondary to the host-setting-stream-count approach since the need to
connect and disconnect i/o in the audio thread is rare and steps can be
made to avoid that, and the ways for a plugin to adapt to those changes
are not ideal in many cases (as I've been explaining).
