I traveled light. No backpack, a fanny pack only. Only two cans of water -
though I did get some water from Myotis. I wore tennis shoes - though I
don't recommend this to others - plenty of opportunities for ankle sprains.
Hike was great. My favorite to date. Great views. Great weather. Creeks
were just right. I think I led most of the way, and only went the wrong way
once - about 100-ft. or so up the wrong creek. We quickly regrouped and got
back on the right trail.

Hmmmm, I wish I would have mentioned walking sticks. Ours came in very handy.

I'd say I was well prepared for the trip. Plenty of rest the day before. Ate a good breakfast. Brought gatorade and water, 1/2 Gallon total, drank it all too. Myotis brought a water purifier. That would save some pack weight as long as water is flowing the day you hike. Ate plenty of energy food along the trail. The weather couldn't have been better. It was from about 40 to 55 degrees that day. This trip would have been very difficult for me if it were hot. The falls were flowing nicely, and plenty of water in the 4 or 5 creeks we crossed. The trail is an ankle bender at times, you have to be careful. I was wishing I had my walking stick as we descended Wildcat Mtn. Can't wait to go back and do it in reverse order next time.
