My nickname is from the Sharpe series of movies and books written by Bernard
Cornwell. It's about the Napoleonic Wars and the 95th Rifles. The Riflemen
were called "chosen men" in the stories, although it was a bit of a
misnomer. They were grouped a bit differently in the British army (as well as
ours I
believe). Sharpe is an officer raised from the ranks, so he's a bit "rough"
and a bit sarcastic when it comes to respecting authority, etc. My
quote/sig file is from one of the movies.
