i have found the same..there are many missing travel bugs...i have quite a few 
out and they are in the hands of cachers and havent been put back out...me 
myself if i dont plan on placing one soon i dont pick it up....and i have 
another 2 or 3 here to put out..but am not sure if i want to with the way they 
are coming up missing
