Everyone is different. I understand why you might want to log the cache in San
Juan. You went through the effort of finding the cache, probably traveled a
great distance and due to circumstances beyound your control, you were unable
to retrieve the cache.

But for me and my own personal rules, I have to find the cache. If someone or
something prevents me from finding the cache, then I didn't find it. I don't
see any point to log a cache that I didn't find.

A cache on park bench probably requires searching when muggles aren't present
or can be maybe when they are distracted. Taking a shortcut to claim the
cache, because of pedestrian traffic or timing is against my rules.

I guess I'm one of the "bad" cachers out there. A couple of weeks ago
while in San Juan I went to a cache on a park bench only to find 2 people
enjoying their lunch while sitting on top of the cache. I hung around there
hoping they would leave, but they looked planted on the bench. I took my
picture in the area and logged it as a "find". I figured it was better than
compromising the cache location by reaching between their legs ( and maybe
getting punched or shot ). You can throw rotten tomatoes at me the next time
you see me.
