Everyone is different.  I understand why you might want to log the cache in
San Juan. You went through the effort of finding the cache, probably
traveled a great distance and due to circumstances beyound your control, you
were unable to retrieve the cache.

But for me and my own personal rules, I have to find the cache.  If someone
or something prevents me from finding the cache, then I didn't find it.  I
don't see any point to log a cache that I didn't find.

A cache on park bench probably requires searching when muggles aren't
present or can be maybe when they are distracted.  Taking a shortcut to
claim the cache, because of pedestrian traffic or timing is against my
rules.
