:: Donation Drop-off
A local computer building and support company dropped off a gaylord's
worth of systems, parts and monitors. The demise of ESRC is an
opportunity for FGM. This particular company used ESRC as their
recycler. Forest brought two gaylords to the warehouse. We dropped
one on the floor and received the donation directly from the truck to
the gaylord.
:: Inventory Sort
Albert, Forest and I did minor sorting, mostly of the drop-off
mentioned above. Next week, the focus will be on further sorting and
reorganizing inventory. Rick went through some of the material and
found things he could use at work and home. Albert shifted skids around.
:: Proposed Recycling Goal
Forest proposed a goal of recycling at least one gaylord of material
each Friday to keep material flowing steadily through our system.
Albert and I think the goal is attainable although we may need to
recruit more volunteers to meet it.
:: Lab Clean Up
After we finished receiving the drop-off, Forest and I left for the
lab. We had just started clearing out unused inventory when Forest
got a call. He had to leave immediately for a family medical
emergency. Albert wasn't far behind us. Albert drove Forest to the
hospital while I continued lining up material to take to the warehouse.
When Albert returned we filled up a gaylord and the pickup truck bed
in front of the gaylord. There is still material left, mostly
monitors. But, next Tuesday, we'll finish the move and have an uncluttered lab.
