Dear Elliott,
I am not an accountant and do not play one on TV, but there is a category
in the IRS (US) regulations called "unreimbursed business expenses."
Perhaps there is something like that in Israel? I encourage you to talk to
an Israeli accountant. I use Tal Dil, CPA. in Modiin. tal@xxxxxxxxxxxx

Chevra,
This might sound a bit out of the ordinary and I think we've explored this
issue before, but a friend has asked me if anyone has had experience with
an organization refusing to reimburse business related expenses while
traveling. I'm not speaking about not paying for a plane ticket, but a
snack or lunch that you might purchase while you're on the road. Whether or
not you call it ESHEL or a per diem or just a plain 'ol expense budget what
advice would you give to someone who is experiencing this situation. Please
respond to the group since this is not my personal issue. TIA.
