Hi Matt,
Just for sake of arguments, as now, cyber security is a pain in the .... can
you go to the AW, and try to ftp to the foxray server. My guess is that if the
Foxray server was updated lately, you might not be able to ftp into it easily,
i.e.: you might have to accommodate it by modifying some security settings of
latest Microsoft patches.
Regards,
Normand

Subject: [foxboro] foxray II (aka System Advisor) questions
[External email: Use caution with links and attachments]

Esteemed List,
It appears that our lab data is no longer being collected by foxray (aka System
Advisor). When I look in the subdirectories, it appears that we have loads of
files from about three weeks ago (11/11). But none of it has been has been
moved into foxray's database. Also, nothing more recent has been collected.
When I manually run the foxray_slow_import task for the lab, it has no effect.
In addition to the I tried running the commit_collect task on our AW in the lab
(Solaris 8, I/A release 7.1.5, FoxView 9.0.4) it returned an error. The script
file runs both the DCSFoxrayImport and the DCSTransferData programs. The
Import program runs fine. I can see that the all kinds of files (ranging from
11/11 to today) that need to be transferred.
When the Transfer program runs it returns the error. The error message
returned is "Can't call method "login" on an undefined value at
DCSTransferData.pl line 320, <INFOXIA_DEF> chunk 9." There is enough unique in
that message that I was able to search the archives quite readily. I found 22
instances where this message occurred. Unfortunately, there was no resolution
indicated. I have quite a bit of old back and forth with Ricardo and I
searched through that and also did not find an answer.
So, it looks like I have perhaps two possible issues. One is that data from
our lab is not being updated in foxray (SA). The other is that the lab AW is
no longer pushing data over to the foxray server.
Because I know the question will be asked, I did verify that the lab I/A server
can still ping the foxray server, so that avenue is intact.
I appreciate any recommendations you can make.
King regards,
Matt Gunter
