sible replace the fieldbus terminator. Check for suspect faulty field
signals.FBM age - If FBMs are older than 2005 they might be subject to the
advisory others suggested, Newer FBMs are more susceptible, so, probably the
"worst offender" FBM is actually the newest one, he just expects a cleaner
signal than the older ones. Having all of them in the latest image doesnt hurt.
As Russ explained, old vertical baseplates are a problem. The trick with the
FBM in the end of the fieldbus is FCM100 as previously stated, this "clean" the
signal.FDSI FBMs - Not your case, but its been known that when there are comm
issues between FDSI FBMs and external devices, these introduce PIOBUS errors to
the system. Particularly painful, as the PIOBUS error most times doesn't show
on the FDSI FBM, but on any other.FCP270 Rev 0U or lower - One of the symptoms
of the faulty optocoupler is the appearance of PIOBUS errors. Try swapping the
FCP270 modules with good know spares.
Good luck

The facility I work at, Tronox, has had similar issues on two different CPs.
Our field service rep installed an FBM (canââ¬â¢t remember the type) in the
last position in the backplate and the errors went away. He did this for both
CPs. They are still installed today. If I was at the plant site today I would
tell you the type of FBMs.

We have a similar problem on a PIO bus from CP270. Ours happens everyMichael Jaudon Sent from iPhone
few minutes constantly but does not cause errors in the CP, just the

pursue fixing this. Look forward to any ideas that come forth.

Honorable List,
We are getting the following sysmon errors intermittently.
2018-06-08 14:04:36 07CP03 Equip = 070404 SYSMON -00068 Single PIO Bus
Access Error on A
2018-06-08 14:04:36 07CP03 Equip = 070404 SYSMON -00070 Single PIO Bus
Access Recovery on A
The errors are occurring on all 9 FBM's in a cabinet. The FBM's are
on 2 separate racks. Always A channel. We replaced one FBM that was
the most frequent offender but that did not solve the problem. The
most recent spate of errors started last Friday afternoon at the same
time we had a thunderstorm/downpour. They occurred 56 times over the
weekend ending Sunday afternoon and have not occurred since. (It
hasn't rained since then either).
Has anyone else seen something similar?
Thanks,
Roger Smith
