You will have PIO errors on remote baseplates with older FCM2Fx and FDSIs. In
our case, we upgraded the FCM2Fx to newer revisions.

Swap FCM modules if that doesn’t help swap A bus fiber to spare pair.

This sounds oddly familiar. I had the same symptoms on a new cabinet last
year. The errors started 1x/day and increased in frequency until they were
only a few minutes apart. Always PIO bus A but the fault would show on
different cards. The last card I had put in was an FBM232 so I pulled that out
and they went away, put in a new 232 and it hasn't come back. I didn't make
any other configuration changes so I'm sure it was a hardware issue. I sent in
the 232 to Foxboro, they said they were going to look at what went wrong with
it but I never heard back. Both the problem 232 and the new one were purchased
in 2017.
Long shot, but if you happen to have an FBM 232 on the same bus, maybe start
there.
My set-up was on an FCP270 with FEM100, extended with FCM 2F2s to a cabinet
with 4 baseplates, sounds similar to you.
Keep us posted, always good to hear what finally fixes it.

We have a similar problem on a PIO bus from CP270. Ours happens every few
minutes constantly but does not cause errors in the CP, just the system PIO bus
errors listed below. We are trying to decide how to pursue fixing this. Look
forward to any ideas that come forth.

Honorable List,
We are getting the following sysmon errors intermittently.
2018-06-08 14:04:36 07CP03 Equip = 070404 SYSMON -00068 Single PIO Bus Access
Error on A
2018-06-08 14:04:36 07CP03 Equip = 070404 SYSMON -00070 Single PIO Bus Access
Recovery on A
The errors are occurring on all 9 FBM's in a cabinet. The FBM's are on 2
separate racks. Always A channel. We replaced one FBM that was the most
frequent offender but that did not solve the problem. The most recent spate of
errors started last Friday afternoon at the same time we had a
thunderstorm/downpour. They occurred 56 times over the weekend ending Sunday
afternoon and have not occurred since. (It hasn't rained since then either).
Has anyone else seen something similar?
Thanks,
Roger Smith
