Dave, HIGH MB P1 200 ALERT 01 01 Exception Code Port 1 (P1), the device with address 200 (200), is returning the exception code 01, which according to the Modbus Protocol specification means: 01 ILLEGAL FUNCTION The function code received in the query is not an allowable action for the slave. If a Poll Program Complete command was issued, this code indicates that no program function preceded it. If the device has implemented the protocol properly, then it didn't recognize the function code sent by the FBM. The most likely cause is that heartbeating has been configured and the device doesn't recognize the 08 function code that is used for this. The latest Document on the FBM224 is B0400FK-E 5/28/08 Regards, Scott ________________________________________ From: foxboro-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [foxboro-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Johnson, David [David.Johnson@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, April 07, 2010 8:36 AM To: foxboro@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [foxboro] I need a System Monitor Messages Decoder Ring Hello all, We have recently installed an FBM 224 (RS-485) modbus on a I/A version 6.x system.
