As you probably already know the "Soft_Download" should simply load the driver
which resides in /usr/fox/sp/files/devices/*.ZIPH into the FBM232. Can you see
this file in this directory? When it does load you should see the following
messages in the sys_mon log file after you perform a soft_download and a
DB_Download:

2010-04-13 11:02:35 01XXCP Equip = 01XX03 SYSMON -00068 Single PIO Bus Access
Error on A
2010-04-13 11:02:35 01XXCP Equip = 01XX03 SYSMON -00123 Comm Device Failed
2010-04-13 11:02:43 01XXCP Equip = 01XX03/01CLX1 SYSMON -00123 Comm Device
Failed
2010-04-13 11:04:13 01XXCP Equip = 01XX03 SYSMON -00070 Single PIO Bus Access
Recovery on A
2010-04-13 11:04:51 01XXCP Equip = 01XX03 SYSMON -00121 Device on scan
2010-04-13 11:04:56 01XXCP Equip = 01XX03/01CLX1 SYSMON -00121 Device on scan

This is on a machine running IA 8.4.3

No, this is not our issue as the second pick is available, just nothing
happens. There is no message to indicate any action on the top line of
SysMon, nor does the FBM232 reboot (go blue), etc.

When you pick the "Soft Download" pick from system manager does the
second pick not contain "Soft Download" as an option? I have seen this
happen when the name of the ECB200 does not coincide with the slot
position of the FBM232 (i.e. XXXX03 when card is physically in slot 4
and should be named XXXX04).

Install Problem

We are having issues with a new install of an FBM232 Allen-Bradley
Ethernet FDSI at Foxboro Version 8.4.2 and FDSI Configurator Version
1.2. I've already found the known conflict issue with 8.4.2 and FDSI
Configurator 1.2 and am trying to get FDSI Configurator 1.3 from Fox
Service. However I suspect further issues as I cannot do a soft-download
to the already created ECBs, which I don't think involves the files
created by the FDSI Configurator. Any one else out there with 8.4.2
issues with this Ethernet FDSI install, hopefully with resolution?
