They are probably available for a bulk rate. If we want them personalized, I'd
order them in July for an August delivery. If they are simply generic pencils,
that should only take a few days to get. Beth (or Jill) probably has a few
supply catalogs to look at to get bulk prices. I think they are a good idea
too.

Since we need these by Sept 11th and our next meeting is Aug 6th, I don't
think we can wait until then to order. Not sure of the procedure here as far as
expensing this out, maybe Mary can comment on it. We probably officially need a
discussion and a vote.

I think if 6 individual would email to say they agree we should purchase
Mary/Beth could place the order. What do you think?

It may depend on where you order from. Usually, if you order bulk, it costs
much less. 1,000???

        Hello FOLKS,

Good news! I was given permission to send in a late application for the
Centennial parade. We should be good to go, if they approve our entry. I have
asked Bradd at OWLS to create a FOLKS logo based on the new library logo, so
that is in the works, too.

Might I suggest that you have pencils or pens or some kind of PR that
could be handed out along the parade route or at the park after the parade?
Whatever is left over could be given out at the 3rd Thursday programs, too.
Just a thought...

        That's all for now,
        Beth
