Hi Rajnish,
Just noticed you are running on 2000. Windows 2000 Adv. supports 2 node
cluster only. Windows 2003 Ent Edition can support upto 8 nodes. Since
you are working on such a DR project, why don't you consider upgrading
to Win 2003/Exch 2003, this will let you add the third failover node,
and also clustering is more reliable and you get a whole lot of new
features with 2003.

Regards,

Raj

Dear Raj,

Thanks for the reply. But my Cluster with server A & B is already
running and I can not afford to break it...

Is their any way that without breaking the cluster I can add new node
(Server C) in it??

Regards,

Rajnish

Again, you can also leave the server C online, but configure the
preferred owner sequence of your resource groups so that Server C is
last in the order. This should make Server C as the owner of your
resource groups only when Server A and B are unavailable.

Raj

You should be able to make server C an additional passive cluster node.
Keep it offline. Bring it online only when the server A and B are down.

Raj

Dear Friends,

I have the following situation with exchange 2000 running in a cluster

Site 1 Site 2

Server A <---->Server B                          Server C

| |

SAN Box |---------------------------------------| SAN Box (Replication)

I have one site in which my exchange server (Server A & Server B) are
running in a cluster and data is stored in SAN Storage (Data, Logs,
Qurun)

Now I need to add another DISTATER RECOVERY SITE. We have successfully
configured the SAN replication between these sites for (Data & Logs).

Is their a way I can make Server C as exchange server to service my
client request in case of any failure.

Await your reply.

Regards,

Rajnish
