**** ETNI on the web http://www.etni.org.il http://www.etni.org **** Adele - You have written about this before. I have one question / comment. In our school, all the 12th graders do the winter bagrut. (They have 7 hours a week in the first semester, instead of 4 + 4 hours both semesters.) You said that "Then, if they do poorly, they can decide to either stay with their 4 point test, or try and improve the 5 point modules." Do you have teaching hours to help those who want to take a test in the summer of 12th grade? We don't. The 12th grade teachers are paid for 7/2 = 3.5 hrs a week. If any 12th grader wants to retake a test in the summer or go on to a higher level, s/he does it alone (or with private teachers) or the teacher volunteers yet more of her time to meet with with pupil every so often and help her (or him). At least this is how it worked this year, and I don't see it changing next year. sara g sara g in israel sarag@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ----- Original Message ----- From: "Adele Raemer and Laurie Levy" <raemer@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <sarag@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>; <etni@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, May 26, 2004 11:08 AM Subject: Re: [etni] Re: too many matkonet tests... > In our 5 point classes this year, we recommended to the learners who we felt > were borderline, to take the 4 point test this year (C,D and E) as a safety > net.
