Crumby weather tends to bring birders serendipities...just so at Lake Junaluska
the last couple of days
Tuesday 2/19 brought in a LAUGHING GULL in the pouring rain...we were hoping it
was a Franklin's but not to be...still a laugher is a great bird for Lake J
Today Wed 2/20 we had two CASPIAN TERNS and a mini "knockdown" of BANK
SWALLOWS, not a regular at the lake for sure
Two good days considering the birding around Lake J is about kaput for the
summer when all the tourists are in and the main birdy activities are
"goslings" and "ducklings"
