I just got back from pickin up the transmission. It's welded up and I need to grind the face of it a bit, but it's better than it was.

But I'll talk to a guy who's done a lotta welding for me and see if he can heliarc weld it for me. If not, then it WILL be next year unless something real drastic happens...like maybe an el-cheapo junkyard tranny that I don't care if I blow up.
