Shell, the magazine I edit is called Disability Now. Not as depressing as it sounds or as it has been in the past. The next issue has features on Benjamin Cohen, Channel 4's technology correspondent and something on whether Assistance dogs and PAs will or could be replaced by robots. Also an interview by Lara Masters with BBC political correspondent Gary Odonnoghue. It really is a bloody good read and for very little effort if you're a member of TNAUK. You can ask them to send it to you every month. Alternatively, all the content becomes available on the web at the end of each month. Visit disabilitynow.co.uk and check it out. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Shell" <shell@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>

ian, I'd be lost without my list of books read, i often have to refer to it to see how far along in a series I am, or who wrote what book I liked. But I too get very frustrated when I haven't bothered to keep up to date with it. Sounds like you have had a computer mare this year, what magazine do you edit?

Dave, I know \I read a Chris Cleve last year but I'm buggered if I can remember what it was. My memory is such that I've now started keeping a list of books as I read them. Of course, the trouble is that I forget to fill it in. And if the book you've just finished scared you then I can't wait to read it as I know you take a lot of scaring. Looking forward to Al's scan of that one. To update listers on my current scanning status, I've been extremely idle since around Christmas. I had two horrendous situations to sort out with the mag I edit, one commercial, the other to do with personnel. We changed computers and I'm still getting used to Vista and JFW v10 and have yet to discover whether the version of K1000 I've migrated on to here works. So apologies if I'm not as contributive as I might be. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Russell" <david.russell8@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi

Just finished "Afraid" and it was rather scary. I don't often read horror
books but this was gripping and thrilling, and rather violent in places.
Rather like the books Dean Koontz used to write.

Now I have just started "the other hand" by Chris Cleave. I have heard good
reports of this one.
