Thanks very much, Shell and David, for the recent books. I finished Shabby Tiger by Howard Spring earlier today, one of the books Pele offered us this month on the other list. I am taking a while to get through the Northern Clemency, but still enjoying it. I wonder quite what form, if any, the sense of menace I detect will take. The creepiest person has faded out of the picture for the time being. Clare
