Change your embosser settings for 30 25 and save the file as a BRF. BRF is universal and can be used by several translation softwares and then who ever embosses can set their embosser for 30 25. >>> lhall10@xxxxxxxxxxx 6/2/2004 11:05:22 PM >>> Hi everyone, I have a question for everyone. I have been transcribing the Braille Edition of the 2004 National Federation of the Blind Deaf-Blind Division Agenda that will be printed on both types of Braille paper. The default format, is set for 40 characters per line with 25 lines per page and is saved as a formatted .brf format after translating the file. I want to take the same Duxbury file and translate it using the smaller paper for embossing. Do I have to go into the Braille printer settings to change it for the 30 characters per line with 25 lines per page? I don't know what printer or whether it will be printed on both sides of the page. I want to set this up as a standard format so no matter what printer is used whether it be interprint or single-sided or whether it's the wide or narrow paper that it would be set up for that. I don't know what Braille translation will be set up and whether the agency at Colorado Center for the Blind uses Duxbury. I am assuming that they use that program since I am trying very hard to comply with NLS standards and following the BANA codes for formatting. It is my understanding that there is no standard format for setting up a format for agendas especially for a national convention such as National Federation of the Blind in Atlanta, Georgia from June 29 through July 5, 2004. Next year our convention will be back in Louisville, Kentucky at the Galt House. I look forward to hearing from everyone soon.
