It is not really translated, it is just being viewed as translated as you read
it. You need to turn offe the braille translator by setting up computer braille
for input and output under JAWS, Braille, Translation as follows, assuming you
are using JAWS:
1. Open DBT;
2. Press JAWSKEY+6 (JAWSkey generally being the Insert key.)
3. When the dialog box opens, press Tab once, then b to move directly to the
braille settings group.
4. Use right arrow to open/expand this group.
5. Press down arrow once to General, then right arrow to open it.
6. Press down arrow once to translation, then right arrow to open.
7. Press Down arrow twice to Output then press space until computer braille is
selected.
8. Press down arrow once to input, then space to select computer braille.
9. Press Tab to OK then Enter to save and exit the JAWS Settings Center.
Note: By opening DBT first, you are selecting settings that only affect DBT
when it is running.

I'm using JAWS 2022 and DBT 12.5. Another observation since I wrote is
the word document when imported comes into Duxbury already translated,
but in English braille (whether pre UEB or UEB).

Recently, my husband had to change out my video card on my computer.
When I try translating a document into braille, there are extra dots and
symbols showing. Any suggestions to get rid of them? I am running DBT 12.5
on Windows 10 with JAWS 2022.
