I fully understand the frustration. I had quite a number of issues
with my Premier. I do clean up the sensers quite frequently when it
misbehaves. It is pretty sensitive and the paper dust created by the
embossing doesn't help the situation.
I do hope you are able to resolve the issue on your side without
having to send back. I sent mine twice and each time they could not
find the problem. For some strange reason, the embosser decided to
behave itself once it reaches Viewplus.

You don't need your computer for this. Hold on the "up-arrow" key on
the embosser and switch the embosser on. You will hear a "beep" sound
and it will start embossing a test page. See whether the margin runs
in this test page.
