Hi Christi,
Based on my experience with embossers, I’d say your problem is hardware
related. If your embosser has a way to print a page independent of the
computer, you might try using it. If the problem occurs then, you’ll know it
has nothing to do with Duxbury. If embossing is normal, then your IT person’s
hypothesis may be more reasonable. In any case, it’s worth checking out.

Subject: [duxuser] Duxbury/Embosser question
I have been having a problem with our new ViewPlus Premier 100 with Inkconnect.
I emboss from Duxbury each time I emboss. A TC in my office who is more tech
savvy than I has suggested that the problem I'm having sounds like a software
problem rather than a problem with the mechanics of the embosser. The problem:
the embosser makes a loud "clunk" after which the margin (on one side or the
other of the document) shifts to embossing off the edge of the page. The tech
person at ViewPlus stated that he doesn't know much about Duxbury. I do know at
least one other person who has been using Duxbury with the same unit (no
Inkconnect) for some years. I haven't been able to contact them to find out if
this has ever been a problem for them. Have any of you encountered this, or
have any of you @ Duxbury heard of this problem before?
Thanks for any input you might have.
Kristi
