I see what you are saying. They are doing a reprint to fix some errors or make changes to the original. So, they have to print it or they'll continue to sell the erroneous core books and have people download the update. I was looking at it from a marketing standpoint to get people to purchase another 25 or 30 dollar book that is 75% material that they already have. Personally, I'd download and print out the addendum rather than spend another 25 bucks for the "official" version. It's more to carry true, but it's cheaper. -----Original Message----- From: widderslainte [mailto:widderslainte@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, December 17, 2002 3:39 PM To: dungeoncrawl@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [dungeoncrawl] Re: the Two Towers > -----Original Message----- > From: dungeoncrawl-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:dungeoncrawl-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Damon Kline > Sent: Tuesday, December 17, 2002 15:21 > To: 'dungeoncrawl@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' > Subject: [dungeoncrawl] Re: the Two Towers > > > Yes! When 25% of it will be changed or revised, I'd rather just carry one book. Of course people are more than content to buy the "Complete Book of Stoutfellow Halfling Paladins". > > Yes, let's squeeze as much money as possible out of what amounts to > > mostly the same material, just reprinted. Gotta love it. As opposed to leaving errors in there when they have to reprint it anyways?
