Yes, you are probably missing a servicing stack update that MS put out back in
November but then superseded in December and then again In January of this
year. For some reason though without that stack update Windows won't install
certain security updates, because they are required to have this servicing
stack.
As I wrote you privately, (not sure if you got that message), I'll help you as
soon as I can find some toilet paper, I mean as soon as I get a chance lol.
It may be this or 2 other problems that I have seen, but can't be sure until I
tandem in and look at your system.
I've been building a few systems to run Windows 7 in the last few weeks, and
have come across all of this, so I know exactly what you are experiencing. It's
not a problem with Windows 7, it's a problem with MSUS (Microsoft update
service).

Subject: [ddots-l] question
Running win7 sonar 8.5 ct, with no connected internet cable.
its a dual boot system and on the win10 isde on the taskbar it reads no
available connection.
On the windows7 side after running for 4 or 5 mintues, the available
updates message pops up and just sits there...
I can live with it, but i find it odd...
Has anyone seen this??? thx in advance... Jack.
