He's probably using Sonar 6 with JSonar. As for Sonar 5, have you checked the documentation to see what things have changed from CT for Sonar 4, and what things may or may not be present in CT5?

Of course, the Tutorial is great and worth reading, as always. *grin*

thank you for answering, i already have ct5 but i haven't felt confident with this version because of the things i had available in version 4 and once i tried to work a project in version 5 and it didn't go that good. i don't mean to say that ct 5 is no good but i'd like to know if anyone feels like me or i just need to do my homework.
how come you are using sonar 6 without ct 6?

What do you mean that Sonar 5 files aren't compatible? Sure, they add new features, and if you use them then, you may not be able to load up Sonar 5 projects, into Sonar 4. Why would you want to do that anyway? Sonar 5 is way better than Sonar 4, especially with the 64 bit audio engine. I am in 6 now and that's better again than 5. You could always get Sonar 5 Producer and Sonar 6 producer, from Dancing Dots.

You could also upgrade to CT for Sonar 5. Then, when CT for Sonar 6 becomes available, because you have purchased CT for Sonar 5, you will get the upgrade for free.

i am still using ct4 becaude the sonar 5 projects are noc compatible with the sonar 4 files, and i feel like i would be jumping without a net. to start the project and not be able to complete it because i don't feel confident in version 5.
should i stay with version 4?
