Ram will help, but if by processing power you mean CPU power, no. Also, the
first thing to do here is not just change things to make it better, find the
source of the problem first; like I wrote previously, the problem could be
one of a few things, a firewire chipset missmatch   (if you're using a
firewire interface), problems with your laptop's chipset, too many services
running, antivirus/malware programs running, CPU parking/power saving
features etc.

Hey DJX.

I actually am planning to run multiple synths with plug in effects, but I
wont test that out till next week. I need to look at the cake talking
tutorial for a lot of those functions, but I guess I'll have to try to
prepare this laptop for music production. My laptop has a slot for adding 4
gigs or ram. You think that will in hance the processing power? Just a
thought. Also freezing tracks should help me out though am I not right?
