OPW 2.92 (12 Jan 2011)

Although I've used OP on & off for years, it's more than 12 years since I
did anything serious with it (that was under RO). I was trying to use OPW
last night, and had various problems with BMP files, all of which are around
2 MB in size and are scans of A4 documents.

In an empty OPW document I dragged three separate BMP files to three
full-page frames. The first pic got displayed at maybe 1/8 full size
(though if I dragged its frame out to full size it did get scaled-up).

The second pic immediately displayed in its full page frame at full size (or
about 90% as the scanned image is bigger than the frame). Why didn't this
happen for the first file?

When I dragged the third BMP OPW said it wasn't an image and did I want to
import it as text? Why didn't OPW recognise this as a BMP?

I foolishly let it import the "text" and that resulted in the frame showing
nothing except an overflow flag. I couldn't find any way to remove the
frame or its contents. Most menu items were greyed out. I finally saved
this broken file as both .dpd and .ddl and looked at the ddl file in an
editor. It certainly contained an encoded image, and a 'story' definition
showing that it was 'embedded'... which sort of makes sense but doesn't
explain how one would get rid of such a thing.
