Hmm. As I said, that was a brief reply, it was late...The point about there being two types of RTF is correct. If your RTF gets translated into something with a "start new document" command in, then you'll get a new document, if not you can load the RTF into a frame.
However there are two RTF loaders, my RTF loader which is the only one for Windows and the only 32 bit compatible one for RISC OS. On RISC OS it is called TransRTF 2.XX (see: http://www.davidpilling.com/ovationpro/filelib/files/transrtf32.zip), and then there is the original RTF loader for Ovation Pro (see: http://www.davidpilling.com/ovationpro/filelib/files/transrtf.zip).
My RTF translator assumes all RTF is a document and generates a document with a fixed size (actually A4), the size is hardwired into the RTF translator.
I believe the original RTF loader at least recognises the two types of RTF. It may also get the page size right.
