Just to add to Fred's post, I should mention that these units had been
long retired but were held by CP for historical purposes. The FA & FB
units were in Winnipeg enroute to Cranbrook B.C. to The Canadian Museum
of Rail Travel for restoration and display. The 8554 was to be
incorporated in a display at High River AB. They were not operational
at the time.
We all owe Fred a big ATTA-BOY for saving these units from the
scrapper. Due to the actions of a misguided individual, they came very
close to oblivion!

Hello List,
I have loaded photo's of CP 4090, and CP 8554, both these
locomotives wheir in Winnipeg, Manitoba in the summer of 1994.
8554units are pretty beat up and in pour condition. Even though CP
towas painted short hood forward, the controls where still as built
photo asrun long hood forward.
The unit CP 4469 has their too but I have not found that
yet. When I do, I'll add it to the site.
