Damn those Yankees sneaking into Canada to build a road
in the wilderness without permission! I guess those
bumpkins at the border thought nothing of U.S. rail cars
carrying U.S. military vehicles, soldiers and other assorted
equipment. Probably thought they were tourists. ;^)
Time for a better library!

The Alaska Highway was being built by the Americans, on Canadian territory
for 9 days before Canada gave it's permission to start construction on
Canadian soil. I originally thought it was a bit longer but research
tonight proved me wrong.
