Did CPR ever rerouted their east-west trains through Northern Michigan on Soo
Line tracks due to problems on the Canadian mainline?
Say a major landslide or forest fire or any reason that would have forced cross
country trains to travel south of the border.
I model the Soo Line (and CPR) in the transition era. I would like to run my
CPR steam trains on Soo Line tracks during operations. I know I could freelance
the whole thing but I am curioius to se if it did happen at any time.
If it did, it would be nice if anyone who lived it to share stories. I am sure
these would be fascinating.
