Have you actually seen a kid read that thick book? Most get it to be like the crowd (to say they have it) then anxiously await the DVD to come out. That's as thick as many of my large printer service manuals. I sure wouldn't read it myself but then I also haven't even cracked a non-reference book since 1975 when I was forced to for literature and English classes (except for short stories to read to the kids when they were small). Didn't have to do it in college - I CLEP'd those subjects. > -----Original Message----- > From: computertalkshop-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:computertalkshop-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of cuffy10 > Sent: Tuesday, July 19, 2005 4:47 PM > To: computertalkshop@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [CTS] Re: Harry Potter Screensaver > > > Russ Blakeman wrote: > > >Harry Potty...er Potter - what does everyone see in this? > > > > > > > > > For one thing it has gotten the kids away from the TV and into a book. > That has got to be a good thing, in my book ? > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------ > --------- > Computer Talk Shop http://www.computertalkshop.com > Un-subscribe/Vacation, http://www.computertalkshop.com/list_options.htm > > List HowTo: http://www.computertalkshop.com/faq.htm > > To join Computer Talk Shop's off topic list, please goto: > http://computertalkshop.com/other_cts_lists.htm > ------------------------------------------------------------------ > --------- > --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Computer Talk Shop http://www.computertalkshop.com Un-subscribe/Vacation, http://www.computertalkshop.com/list_options.htm List HowTo: http://www.computertalkshop.com/faq.htm To join Computer Talk Shop's off topic list, please goto: http://computertalkshop.com/other_cts_lists.htm ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
