I am a Family Law Specialist in Durham, NC.  I have been  in practice
since
1987.  In 1992 or 1993, I took the first of a number of courses in
mediation.  Since then, I have completed I have added mediation to my
practice although it is not the primary focus of the practice.

Earlier this year Chip Rose conducted a 2-day training here in Durham.  In
all, we had  35 participants in the class.  We have been working on
forming
a practice group and I believe that you Yahoo! group would be a good one
in
which to participate.  Another of my collegues, G. Matthews is a member of
your group and she has been sharing some of the postings with me.

My interest in the collaborative process stems from a desire to help
divorcing spouses learn some new communication styles that will permit
them
to resolve their issues with privacy and dignity.

I look forward to joining the group.
