What is your interest in Collaborative Law: CL fills a need in family law,
particularly for those cases not appropriate for mediation. I am convinced
that the litigation paradigm in Family Law does more harm than good and that
the system needs to be overhauled. CL is a good step in that direction. My
most basic motivation continues to be the legions of children we've left
behind in all the talk about "best interests" with very in terms of process
which supports the talk.

What is your interest in Collaborative Law: I hope that it will provide a
more civil way to handle divorces. I have been practicing since 1975 and I
have noticed the lawyer to lawyer civility go away and too much of an
advisarial approach--even when it hurts the family in the long
run--predominate.
