Why not just fork or ask to take over or see if the dev(s) of Scramdisk need
help?

If the Truecrypt owner(s)/dev(s) say it's going to make things a real PITA for
doing anything with Truecrypt, then see if the SD4L folk(s) are easier. Heck, it
works with Truecrypt volumes anyway.
