I do, I have a Win95 osr2 + WFWG3.11 + Calmira on the same partition. (A
friend has W98 + W3.1 + Calmira and my Sister W98SystembootDOS + Win3.11,
working good).
The bad news:
* You can't have 32 bits disk and 32 bits file access (FAT corruption
danger).
* You can't have permanent swap file (LFN corruption danger).
* You can't defrag on DOS only on W95/98 (If you have plane W95 you can use
"Speedisk Beta for MS-DOS7-W95" from Norton)

Program: osr2fix. This program enable W3.1 on MS-DOS7 and up, it just
rebuilts io.sys and no more.

Win98 can be dual-booted like Win95a (of course @ bootup time by pressing
F4 just to get to DOS/Win3.1x).

   Does anybody on the list have a more concrete answer (like you are
actually using Win98 and Win3.1 on the same PC)?

appears at startup;

Or add to Autoexec.bat and Config.sys a Menu (like osr2fix says) and use
MS-DOS7.
Menu: 1)DOS for W3.1 2)Win 95OSR2/98.
