And, since I started this, grin, I just had to go to the
Internet Explorer 11 address bar and type the URL as I gave it,
and it did indeed go to the correct page. True, it might not go
there with the run dialog as Ann said, and I didn't try to see,
but this was a working link as I gave it, although it might not
have been the most convenient for some. I'm not sure why the
Apex, from which I got the original link, left off the http part
when I used the block command to copy it to the clipboard to
paste it into the message, as IE 11 did indeed show that part of
the link when I brought up the address bar after going to the
page as I just described. I'm guessing the Touch
will eliminate this problem; although, as indicated by other
messages on the list, looks like HumanWare is still going to
continue to sell the Apex for now.----- Original Message -----

Touch
Hi,
Yours wasn't, mine was. And the page was most likely a
mistranslation. OK, try this for me. humanware.com/support
what does it come up with?

Hi all,
Actually, Rajmund it is not off-topic because when I pasted the
incorrectly submitted URL into my 'run' dialog, it informed me
that there was no such page and it couldn't be displayed.
Therefore, I wrote the message to give the corrected URL so that
the list would not be clogged with many people asking for the URL
again or complaining that it didn't work or whining that they
couldn't fine it. I figured I was being helpful. The URL *was*
typed incorrectly, period! It had nothing to do with my email
client. It had to do with Windows conventions for typing URL's.
I'm happy that your IOS device was able to recognize the URL, but
MSIE11 was not.
Since I knew that it wouldn't work in my email client as it had
been typed.. I used a perfectly legitimate Windows command to
'run' the URL and MSIE said it was incorrect. So, I changed the
URL, 'ran' it again, found the page, copied the correct URL to my
clipboard by using f6 and ctrl-c, and then pasted it into the
message.
I also figured that this was a teachable moment, and advised as
to the correct format, across platforms, to list URL's. Now go
unwrap that 1lb caramel and let me go about my business, please.

hi,
Off topic message, what you've described, is an email client
specific issue. My iPhone, for one, knew the originally sent
link was a link. ,
