Hi, Patti. You may enjoy a series of books on Bookshare called Blessed Assurance. It's historical fiction about a family who work to end prejudice and child labor in the nineteenth century. There are elements of romance in the series, but they don't go overboard. The author's name is Lyn Cote, and the books are called Whispers Of Love, Lost In His Love, and Echoes Of Mercy. I scanned the first two of them, one of which was approved last month. Barbara did an excellent job of validating Whispers Of Love, and that is the first book of the series.
