Well, for me the Braille keyboard on the Bookport is not all that helpful. I have tried it a few times but, as an input device, it certainly is the long way around for me. I use my Bookport mostly for fiction and podcasts and one reason is because I don't want to be in a position to need to find something as I might in a nonfiction or textbook. I can read this in K1000 and use the keyboard, or load them into the Braille note and use a real Braille keyboard. This to me is somewhat like trying to sent a text message on a cell phone, something I won't do and don't see why anyone with a busy schedule would ever take time to do. Personally I with text messaging had never some into use. The enter key is only active in the Find mode. It is the normal two key, but when in find, it is the enter key. It may also be active in the Notes mode, but I don't know. -----Original Message----- From: bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of solsticesinger Sent: Sunday, May 27, 2007 5:34 PM To: bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bookport] Re: how do you use the find Not to sound stupid, but where on the book port is there an enter key? I know to hit the 7 plus 8 plus and inter the text I want to find, but after I get out of braille keyboard how do you get the bookport to find the text? I hope I am clear in what I am wanting to do. I know there are 2 ways to find text, so maybe some one should give me step by step instructions. I have looked in the manual, but for some reason, I don't seem to be able to do it when I try to use it. I think, what I need is the info on the computer so I can follow them as I go. After I do it a few times, I think I will be able to do it from memory. I am the kind of person that has to do it a few times and usually I can remember how to do it then. Thanks in advance for those that will try to help me out.
